	Broos Stoffels is a Brussels-based graphic designer and art director. Through his independent practice, he works across print, digital, and spatial design - developing visual identities, campaigns, websites, and scenographies with the kind of enthusiasm that tends to produce fun work.
 Together with Tim Colmant, he runs Aubergine Press, a small publishing house dedicated to illustration-based publications.

Danspunt supports and inspires dance enthusiasts and professionals across Belgium. I created their new visual identity capturing the essence of dance: movement, connection, and expression.The name Danspunt received a renewed meaning with the addition of a dot and comma, Dans, Punt. to highlight its role as the home of all things dance.

The identity revolves around six flexible logo variations that are used across different media, always in motion. The connected letterforms reflect the connection between dancers themselves, as well as between dancers and Danspunt, visualizing the broad network that unites them.


The flowing lines additionally express the many energies of dance, sometimes soft and organic, sometimes sharp and angular. This linework forms a simple and adaptable visual language that extends naturally into signage, iconography, and various applications like stationery, the website and social media.&#38;nbsp;A bright, powerful color palette reinforces this bold visual identity.


Alongside digital and print designs, the identity was applied to a new façade signage system with flags, banners, and a full-window graphic that invites visitors inside. It continues throughout the interior with wayfinding elements for the studios, restrooms and foyer.

Kunstwerkt is the leading Belgian organisation dedicated to supporting visual artists, from amateurs to professionals. Through exhibitions, workshops and open calls, Kunstwerkt provides a platform that both showcases and inspires.

This mission is translated into a visual framework anchored by the letters ‘K’, creating a graphic motif woven into the logomark. Serving as both a solid support for the artist and a presentation platform for their work, this frame recurs in various forms, from tapes to corner brackets, throughout all applications. To bring the artist’s personal touch to the forefront, I contrasted these rigid angles with analog elements like scribbles and hand-drawn typography.

Kunstwerkt hosts various exhibitions, such as Draad and Gift Shop, and features artists on their portfolio platform Beeld and Kunstletters magazine. These previously separate project brands and websites are now hosted on a single, renewed website. Together with Loemer and Open Up Media, I created a single platform where artists can share their work, find opportunities and get inspiration. Through a refined brand architecture, all subbrands are visually connected, maintaining a consistent voice while allowing the flexibility for future projects &#38;amp; campaigns to take shape.

Rock Werchter is the biggest music festival in Belgium.
I designed their lost-and-found landmarks ‘piercing’ illustrations on poles inspired by the festival environment.

Tiptoh is a brand new and innovative plant-based drink made from split peas. Its visual identity is defined by a stacked wordmark in which the split pea, the core ingredient of the product, is implemented in an abstract way. Secondary information extends this vertical, stacked design through the consistent use of graphic bars and geometric pea shapes.

I chose the characteristic yellow color of the pea as the foundational base for the new identity and its first product: the Original. To build a cohesive family, each subsequent product in the Tiptoh range was given its own distinct spot color, combined solely with the clean white base of the packaging. This approach creates a striking, color-coded series designed to attract maximum attention on busy store shelves. One of the challenges we tackled was Tiptoh’s ambition to communicate as transparently as possible. To achieve this, I featured their road-to-market story prominently on every package.

Recently, Tiptoh introduced its newest product, the Barista, developing two distinct versions: one made with Pea milk and, for the first time, one made with Oat milk. With a dedicated focus on specialty coffee shops, I gave the packaging design a fresh update, adding a clear naming system, abstract imagery, and quirky illustrations to the sleek graphic style.

Beyond the physical packaging, I designed Tiptoh’s webshop, merchandise, motion design and store displays.

	Nina is a specialty coffee bar in Leuven. I designed her new visual identity with a bold, lowercase wordmark at its core to reflect Nina's friendly and approachable presence. Note the mug-shaped character a, fuming Nina’s baseline.
 
I worked with a soft, pastel color palette, in line with the interior design, to keep the atmosphere calm and cozy. Furthermore, I involved illustrator Tim Colmant to create a set of playful illustrations to complement the brand collateral.

Gent Gemapt is an interactive tool that brings to life the rich heritage of the city of Ghent. This comprehensive project encompasses a vast collection of 4.000 locations of the city. It displays 10.000 images, postcards, artworks, posters and other historical objects carefully curated from various archives in and about the city’s history. The heart of Gent Gemapt lies in its ability to showcase these remarkable artefacts and locations on 20 overlaying historical maps, providing users with a captivating journey through time.

Gent Gemapt is a unique collaborative project that brings together a wealth of historical materials and artefacts from various sources. 


The intertwining of the letters "g" in the project's logo, symbolizes the unity and collaboration between these different archives.

This intertwining symbol formed the base of +30 rounded icons that represent the different types of places found on the interactive map. These icons serve as intuitive and recognizable symbols, enhancing the user experience and facilitating navigation within the digital platform.&#38;nbsp;

Designing an accessible platform, which combines data from 4.000+ locations was a challenge. I implemented functionalities like location filters, an interactive timeline, layered maps and a search field to help users explore the extensive collection.


‘Gent Gemapt’ is a unique experience that makes the cultural treasures of Ghent more accessible. The warm colours and rounded shapes in the visual identity enhance the accessibility of the platform.

BANG! is a tabloid magazine, published by renowned illustrator Klaas Verplancke. For each issue, Klaas invites a new guest designer. I had the honour to curate and art direct this fourth edition.I looked for contrasting themes within his work and presented these opposites in different compositions on the wide tabloid spreads, featuring bold typography and quotes regarding Klaas' work from established creative directors from around the world. 

The magazine is delivered folded in half. To enhance the notion of contrast, I experimented with this divided composition and created a "double" mirrored cover.

	Onomatopee (onomatopeia) is a visual exploration of designing sound.

Illustrator Lukas Verstraete and I challenged ourselves with several games. We questioned for example how sound can be visualised if expressed by different characters in different situations, how onomatopeia can be designed as superlatives and how we interpret onomatopoeia from foreign languages or undefined sounds.

The result was presented on Grafixx extd. #3 and later published in this booklet.
