Nandakke? is the release album by Belgian-Japanese music duo Aili.
‘Nandakke?’ is something you say when you’re looking for a word. That’s when sometimes unexpected & funny things happen, languages mix up and maybe even new words are born.
I intertwined Latin and Kanje characters to typographically mix these languages. This way a striking vertical typographic mark was created for the album artwork and single releases.
To add to the Japanesque theme of the music I added an 'obi-strip' to the vinyl sleeve, containing all the information like the tracklist and the credits.
